A Closer Look at Quick Pick Options

Lottery players all over the world have the same question in their minds: how to pick the winning lottery numbers? Everybody is looking of some sort of a system that will give him an edge over the seemingly astronomical odds of winning. Some people try to put a semblance of a system on how they play the lottery by closely observing the game and taking note of the winning numbers for an extended period of time, hoping to crack the code of the surefire formula for winning. This kind of study will show that there are certain numbers that tend to come out in the winning circle more often than the rest. There are also certain number sequences that appear more often and some number sequences that almost do not appear at all, hence playing those numbers that almost do not appear at all will put the odds against you.

If there is one thing that studying lottery trends will give you, it is that winning the lottery comes down to chance. But while winning the lottery is a matter of chance, there is still the question of how to choose one's numbers. A lot of people choose their own numbers based on different factors such as the birthdays of the important people in their lives, anniversaries, or any other way of making a number combination. A lot more people do not want to break their head in choosing what could be the winning combination and they just settle on quick picks.

The quick pick option in a lottery lets the lottery machine select numbers randomly for a player. The lottery machine uses a random number generator that is similar to the number generator used by slot machines or video poker machines. When a player chooses the quick pick option when buying a lottery ticket, the machine prints out a ticket with the numbers generated by the machine. The player need not stress over which numbers to choose. And this part, not stressing over which numbers to choose, seems to be the only and most important advantage of getting the quick pick option in playing the lottery. It  is so because like in love and in war, all is fair in playing the lottery. The playing field is made even by one big factor - chance.

A lottery player may use all the mathematical complexities of physics or take into consideration the alignment of the stars and the planets, give numerical interpretations or meaning to dreams, or apply years of research on the likelihood of certain numbers to appear in a certain time of the year, or use the quick pick generator in the lottery machine, but the odds of winning will still be the same. Picking the right number combination is always a matter of hope - a hope that the combination will come out right this time. And this flicker of hope keeps the lottery players going and going until they hit the very elusive jackpot.

Lottery is a game of chance and there is always that elusive chance.
